No, actually they don't always know. A lot more common nowadays, but the Z32 hood was created in 1989. I had to tell my guy about the aluminum hood on my Z. He said "I didn't realize, I'm glad you told me that, because we add a 25% labor surcharge for aluminum." So we talked a little more, and he ended up paying to replace the hood instead of working the dents.
